I can download the Join Me program automatically via the phone and also from the ZTE website and all device drivers are functioning correctly in the device manager. However everytime I try to connect to the program it comes up with the same error message. Cannot connect to phone. 1 make sure USB lead is properly connected.
Switch phone off and on again. I, like others decided to just buy a USB cable for my VX9900 and use Windows Media Player for sync'ing. (I also have the Verizon Essentials program that I downloaded, but I like WMP better.
No particular reason). I was getting the installation messages and as soon as the MTP message came up, I got the 'problem' message and it didn't sync. What I did when I got the cable was to run the CD drivers that came with my cable. That may have been my mistake. I was bothered that the date of my driver was in 2005 since the phone came out late in 2006. So I looked at the name of the driver and it was something like C: Windows System32 Drivers LGUSBDriver.xxx whatever. I went to my device manager and uninstalled the driver.
I went to the C: Program Files and deleted the LG USBDrivers folder. I went to the Windows/system32/drivers folder and there were three LG. files I deleted them. The next time I plugged the phone in and set it to sync, it worked. How many service providers' settings have you saved on your phone? In most cases, 'whatsapp' application causes this problem, the only solution is to uninstall the 'whatsapp' application (as far as I know) otherwise you'll be notified everytime your phone is turned On. But in many case, if your network is AAPT (or other specific network/s), then accepting the warning and setting up the access point automatically should also fix your problem. But if you have several network access, that would be different, suppose if you keep changing your sim card, you'll need to change the settings every time you switch your sim card. You can also try this method, go to settings connectivity destinations and then (by one depending on how many acces points you have on your phone), choose any access point, then press options and go to advanced settings and then change the network type from IPV4 To IPv6, and save the settings, repeat the steps with all the network access point you don't use.

Anyway what you may need to do is Install the software ALL the software drivers, install.exe, and actually running it, as Administrator in Compatibility Mode for XP SP 2. Win 7 and USB are a nightmare if NOT directly supported and have a driver written exclusively for the device you are trying to use, it simply will not work.
Also IF a 64 bit machine, you may need to set to OFF Digital Driver Signing. At boot up press F8 and select it from bottom of menu, each and every time you boot up. Older phones simply will NOT play well with Win 7 as simple as that, again unless the Phone, and Win 7 are of the same 'Age' IE: A modern unit only about 12 months old or so will work. Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire).
This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
